In a recently-uploaded passage on a blog from the equity research report on Soapstone Networks (SOAP), the following paragraph from the report was misrepresented earlier:
'In the wake of announcements by several large carriers that they were not interested in using Provider Backbone Transport (PBT), which is supported by Soapstone's (SOAP) Provider Network Controller (PNC) technology, SOAP's stock price has fallen to below cash levels.'
After several large carriers announced that they were not interested in using Provider Backbone Transport (PBT) provided by Nortel Networks (NT) and others, we question the potential market for Soapstone Networks Inc's Provider Network Controller (PNC) technology. PBT was initially expected to be a key driver for Soapstone's PNC platform, which now may be relegated to tier 2 and 3 carriers for early roll-outs.
We regret the previous error.
